audience analysis/ audience adaptation

So, the importance of audience analysis and audience adaptation in the speech development process is very simple. It’s the audiences attention towards the speech, what I mean is the reaction of the facial expression. The way you give your speech is the way you observe your surroundings. If the audience is smiling or confused, the tone or the speed of your voice will vary because you might not expect their reaction to be that way. I know this might be confusing but I guess it is just the way I feel. Anyways, what I am planning to do in my speech is probably getting the audience’s attention by using visuals so they wont have to listen to my boring speech haha.

  1. Hi Boed! What other ways can you think of to gain your audience's attention other than visual aids (which is good)? Also, how will you relate to your audience? How can you incorporate your audience into your speech topic? In short, why should they listen to you, and what can you do to make your topic interesting to them? :)
