So after watching the interactive videos, I learned how to use a good argument speech. Argument speeches have 4 basic elements, thesis, claim, evidence and reasoning. I have always thought an argument speech just needed a thesis and the claim to persuade your audience but after watching the video, all 4 of the basic elements are very useful and they all should be used. The thesis is of course the most important one because the thesis pretty much explains what your going to be talking about. The thesis should be very clear to the audience so that they know what your going to be talking about in your speech. Same with the evidence, the more evidence I have the more believable my topic will be. In the other two videos, I learned the pro’s and con’s of an argument speech. Let me just say, that Dixie gave a phenomenal speech. I really enjoyed her speech because her claim was very good and the way she presented it.
